Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect on my first visit?

On a Sunday, when you enter through the main red doors, our ushers will warmly greet you and offer a service booklet. This booklet contains the full Liturgy (Order of Service), including the music, Scripture readings, prayers, and guidance for participation. Everyone receives a booklet to help follow along and take part in the service. Booklets are available at all doors, though Ushers only serve at the main doors. Our worship is often described as formal and liturgical; we follow Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer. We hope you’ll find beauty in the rhythm and structure of our communal worship.

What accommodations are available for visitors with hearing or other impairments?

We offer FM auditory assistance devices for those who are hard of hearing—please ask an usher upon arrival.

For those receiving Communion, gluten-free hosts are available. Please let the clergy know at the altar rail.

Is childcare or a nursery available during services?

Sunday school takes place on the ground level of the Cathedral, starting at 9:45 am for students aged 3 and up. More information is available in our Formation tab.

Are children and youth welcome in worship?

Absolutely! Children of all ages, abilities, and genders are welcome to partake in worship, not only by attending but by volunteering to read scripture during the service, sing in the Cathedral Choir, and serve as an acolyte.

Is there a dress code or suggested attire?

Some people dress casually, others more formally— all to their own comfort. Dress comfortably.

Can I participate in communion if I’m new or visiting from another faith tradition?

All Baptised Christians are welcome to receive communion. Instructions on the procedures for that particular day will be included in your service booklet.

Is photography or recording allowed during services?

Yes, you may see others recording or photographing, but please be respectful of those who may be in your shot.

Are there any seasonal or special services I should know about?

We are currently praying for a new Cathedral Dean, so we do not have a regular preacher. Please expect each Sunday for the rest of 2025 to be led by substitute clergy. Check out our upcoming event tab for information on upcoming special events.

Are there opportunities for fellowship or coffee hour after services?

YES! Visitors often comment on how vibrant our coffee hour is. We gather in the Great Hall after the Eucharist Service on Sunday Mornings.-

Are any services broadcast online or live-streamed?

At this moment, no, but previous sermons are available at the Weekly News tab.
